These five words have been my mantra for the past four years.
As I moved through adulthood, I realized I was always chasing something: finding love, landing a good job, moving to a new country, buying a house, becoming a mother. And although I felt fulfillment in reaching these milestones, there was always a lingering pressure — as if my worth depended solely on what I achieved.
Yet deep inside, I could feel that something essential, almost sacred, was missing.
That’s when I discovered, four years ago, the power of meditation and equanimity — the ability to clear my mind and be fully present in the moment. I realized how difficult it was for me to simply enjoy being alone, in total communion with myself. But how can I show up as the best version of myself if I don’t nurture my mind, body, and spirit? I understood that this needed to become my true priority: to feel whole without constantly chasing external gratification.
One of my favorite times to meditate is while taking a bath. I love the ritual that unfolds: dimming the lights, playing soothing music, lighting candles, and preparing a bubbly bath with Epsom salt. Then, as I sink into the warmth of the water, I cleanse my skin with the TORREIP Body Polisher. Its delicate texture makes me feel deeply relaxed and cared for. I close my eyes and savor it all — the heat of the water on my skin, the shea butter fragrance of the Body Polisher, the soft music filling the air. In this sacred moment, time feels suspended, my senses awaken, and I recharge myself with self-love and self-appreciation.
As the Indian philosopher once said:
“Focus on the present moment, for it is where life truly happens.”
